Is it me or the host causing this?

Using frontpage 2002
been fine for ages
changed a page and went to publish to my host and got this message:-

500 Internal Server Error
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the
server administrator, (e-mail address removed) and inform them of the time the
error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the
error. More information about this error may be available in the server
error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying
to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.31 Server at
www.xxxxxxx.com Port 80


Is it me or is it them?
I have logged into my control panel ok.

A 500 error is usually a permissions error on the server. contact your host.

Lots of things besides permissions can cause 500 errors .

I'm having the same error msg, when I do Edit with MS FP I get same
error, I can click OK and it pulls in the page, but if I make a change
and then try to save it, I get the same error and the page is not
saved. I also am never prompted for UN and PW to upload the page

Hi all

I called my host and they told me to unistall the frontpage extensions and
then re-install them after 10min.
It worked ok, problem gone now
