Is it hard to clean under glass of my HP 5500c

I just noticed that the glass from my scanner HP 5500c is kind of milky from
the inside. So far I can't see it on the pictures, but I'm sure it affects
the scan one way or another. Is it hard to take the scanner apart, so I can
clean the glass from the inside. Any help is appreciated..........Peter
