Is is safe to remove MS Works?

I'm using MS Office 2003 (registered) and can't see any need for keeping
Works on my PC.
Sometimes when I try to open a document I get an error from Works (can't
open, not enough memory) which is nonsense. I NEVER use Works anymore and
I'd like to just remove it entirely with add/remove programs.
It that safe to do or will I encounter other problems ?

If you don't use Works, yes it's safe to remove it.

And if you ever change your mind and want it back, you can always reinstall
it from the original media.
