Is compacting folders gone in Windows mail?

In Outlook Express it was possible to compact the folders in order to
recover disk space and keep files as small as possible.
How is it done in WM in Vista?

Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance | Clean Up is apparent only for
newgroups files as in OE.

Go the path you describe above and change the compact count at shutdown to
1, close WM, compact and then go back and set the compact count to a number
that you feel comfortable with.
