Okay, I have been using XP Pro for about 8 months without any problems what so ever. Now, however, when I load a game and start to play, anywhere from a couple of minutes to 30 mins the game will crash, a blue screen is displayed very briefly saying something about IRQ's being less or not equal or something, and then the computer restarts. I have all the new Microsoft Updates as well as driver updates for my products. I have tried disabeling my sound, and The games still crash(Star Craft, Diablo, Ultima Online). I have also re-formatted and re-installed windows, however while trying to do that, the screen kept popping up during the installation and restarting the computer. I took SEVERAL tries before i could get a windows installation to run it's course. I don't really know what to do now, and i can't narrow down the problem. Can anyone offer some assistance

Look under Help and Support / Performance and Maintaince / Maintaining Your
Computer / Get information About Your Computer /
View the status about your hardware and software. This will tell you about
problems that your system presently have and will help you figure things
out. Uncheck autorestart (system properties / advanced )to get complete
error message projected when crash occurs. Post back if necessary . Jym

I did what you suggested. The help didn't show anything wrong, everything is working properly and no updated are required. I have the complete message now, after having disabling the auto restart:
Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Stop: 0x000000d1 (0x1e84e57,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xf731145f)
psched.sys - Address F731145F base at F7309000, Datestamp 3b7d8481

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.

So...does this tell you anything more about what action to take now?
