I am experiencing this error message randomly. Can
appear with just general browing but more commonly
appears when playing 3d games. Have tried to disable all
USB drivers and NIC drivers. Also cannot see any IRQL
conflicts.
Using Athalon 2400+ with 512 RAM
128 GForce 4 card
Appears to be totally random but cannot work out what
problem could be. Any ideas?

More than likely, your memory is not up to snuff for XP. NT based OSs are
heck on memory -systems that ran Win9X just fine will blow up with less than
perfect memory under an NT based OS.

Most likely due to a bad driver, or faulty or incompatible hardware or
software.

See MVP Jim Eshelman's web page for STOP errors at
http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm and click on the "0A: IRQL Not
Less/Equal" item at the top of the left side column.

Note that there is a similar appearing error message
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL which is quite different. If that is
what you are getting then see the same web page but scroll down the
left column to the "D1: Driver IRQL..." item.

Good luck
