DRIVER IRQL LESS OR EQUAL

Goro

Hi there,

I just had (as I thought) random BSOD (every few days)
with the message

DRIVER IRQL LESS OR EQUAL ... usbhci.sys

Yesterday this appeared everytime when I started my DVB-Card.
Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

regards
Goro

those are usually caused by old or bad drivers. make sure you have the
latest ones from the hardware mfg and that you are up to date on windows
update. there is a chance it could also be bad hardware.

I think you may have misread the error message a bit.

If it actually says DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL then see MVP Jim
Eshelman's web page for STOP errors at
http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm and click on the "D1: Driver
IRQL..." link in the left side column.

Good luck
