An error appears on my screen and crashes my business
system. I have contacted Dell and Microsoft with no
luck...Help...urgent.... This is the error: Stop
0x000000D1 Driver_irql_Not_less_OR_EQUAL. I found the
Microsoft article that references this error 293077. I
have no clue where to start to fix the problem. The last
time the computer crashed it corrupted my Scan and Go
database(purchased access software package). Would
someone instruct me on the steps I need to fix this
problem. At times my keyboard locks up and my
system...the only thing to do is reboot. I thought it was
the keyboard but it is not. It seems like the
instructions are getting written over or something.

The KB you referenced doesnt really sound like your problem, thats caused by
verifier being enabled on a machine. STOP 0xD1s are fairly common however,
what was the last software/hardware updated on this machine and how long has
the problem been occurring?

My belief is that this has been going on for atleast a year or two. It is unbearable now. I have not installed any new hardware or software since I have purchased the system. The system has a pole display, ziptoa backup drive, mouse and keyboard(Ywire), Polaris scanner, screen and tower. I disabled the nortin antivirus because that was one of the responses I received from Dell. SCAN and GO is an access software package that I purchased bundled with the PC. There take on all this is not their problem.

If its been going on for that long then it will be near impossible to tell
exctly what is causing this via any other means than trial and error. I
would start with using the msconfig tool from Windows XP (if available) to
clean boot the machine and check the results. Really you would need to open
a support incident to have a memory.dmp read, thats going to tell you right
off the bat what is the root cause but it will cost you money for the call.

Thanks for your response. I am using Microsoft 2000. Is this feature available in 2000? Do you think I should have a Microsoft professional take a look at it? I went thru all the configurations and nothing jumps out at me? I have PC anywhere at the office ...will they be able to dial in and fix the problem or are they going to say try this and try that. Where is the dump located that I would need? Do you know how these problems occurr
