I contacted tech support and they told me i am freezing
becasue my irq's are sharing and i need to fix them but
not how to fix them. My computer specs are:

AMD 2500+
1.09 ghz
1.00 gb of RAM

and here are a list of my IRQ's:

IRQ 0 System timer OK
IRQ 1 Easy Internet Keyboard OK
IRQ 4 Communications Port (COM1) OK
IRQ 6 Standard floppy disk controller OK
IRQ 8 System CMOS/real time clock OK
IRQ 9 Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System OK
IRQ 11 NVIDIA nForce PCI System Management OK
IRQ 11 Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller OK
IRQ 12 Logitech-compatible Mouse PS/2 OK
IRQ 13 Numeric data processor OK
IRQ 14 Primary IDE Channel OK
IRQ 15 Secondary IDE Channel OK
IRQ 19 NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X OK
IRQ 20 NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Adapter OK
IRQ 21 Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller OK
IRQ 21 NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio Codec Interface OK

It looks like tech support is all wet!
I'd be more inclined to make a guess that the video driver or direct X
settings might be the culprit.
If you have a USB driven sound card, perhaps that is involved.

IRQ sharing is now standard on most newer systems, so while possible, the
tech support answer might point to a problem within the game software rather
than with your system.

You didn't bother to explain what kind if problem you are having.

As an example, we had a problem with Halo dumping to a blue screen or to the
desktop. The error messages were not very helpful, and really didn't point
to the cause. By trial and error, we found that a combination of video
driver, sound card driver, and DX settings were the culprit. Now, Halo will
only dump when obscure corners of a level are explored or longer than normal
sequences within a level are active. Recent video driver and motherboard
driver upgrades may have eliminated these remaining problems. (Or, made them
worse, only time will tell.)

This explanation is new equivalent to the old "Re-install"
mantra. Originally, the PC only had 15 IRQ's. Those are
Interrupt Request Lines. Peripherals connected, signal the
processor that they need the Bus when data is required. The
IRQ's have a distinctive hierarchy to them. Certain numbers
get handled 1st and other lower priority lines have to wait.

Newer PC's have a dedicated controller chip Apic. This
allows computers to have IRQ's up to 22, as shown in your
listing. This is normal. Many web-sites propose that you
revert back to an older HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer)
to fix certain types of problems.

If you choose to switch HAL's you will loose a number of
Power configuration features. More importantly, if you go
to a "Standard PC" with only 15 dedicated IRQ's, you will
have more instances of IRQ sharing than exists in your
current configuration. In other words the same number of
peripherals, but fewer IRQ's to map them to.

I would recommend you update your Chipset Drivers for
your motherboard. Google for some info on your specific
Motherboard related to the problem.

Ok, my mouse and keyboard keep freezing up int the game
then it lets it go again. SO when i'm running all of a
sudden it will freeze, but evberything is moving around me
just i can't move. Then it unlocks me after a min or so.

Yeah! I was told by tech support for one of my not working games to
"re-install Windows 95". It was a fresh install of Windows 95. Never fixed
the game in Windows 95 but when I did my Windows 98 upgrade, the game
worked!
