Irfanview remembers the history of recently opened files.
Please let me know how to disable this function?

From the Help file
The MRUDs menu can be disabled in Properties->Misc. 2 dialog.

Maybe he's working on a late Mother's Day surprise for his wife and
doesn't want her to see that he just opened
"C:\projects\other\My_Wife_Is_Perfect.jpg"

Nah.

It was probably "C:\Documents and Settings\johnny\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\30VKOKB4\BigBoobs.jpg"
