Irfanview Question about EXIF (ex XnView)

I'm using the version 3.91.
How is it possible to get the interesting vision of EXIF info like you can
have apparently with XnView (Property / Tab EXIF) ?
I just learned that this EXIF vision should allow to get all MetaData about
Exposure time, Aperture value, Shutter speed, Metering Mode, Focal length...
I have seen a similar function in the Options / Properties / Visualize /
addition of $Ex (at the bottom), but it doesn't work.
Have somebody an idea? I don't want to install XnView just for that as I'm
now having habits of Irfanview.

In Irfanview, open a picture you know has exif info, then
"Image\Information"
gives new dialog:
IrfanView - Image properties"
ButtonClick: "EXIF info*"

Thanks for your rapid answer.
I guess that I miss the installation of some plug-ins because this button is
not actually existing.
(only IPTC info and Comments buttons are available)
I'm redownloading them all now;

After redownload of the addins in PlugIns directory and having well EXIF.dll
file installed, the window you were talking about is still not showing the
EXIF button.
Do I have to do something else ? How to know if my JPG images are really
having these info coded?

If you've installed the exif add-in for Irfanview and the exif button is
missing on the Image/information window, there is no exif data.

Keep in mind that exif data often is lost if you edit and re-save a photo
using many programs. Even rotating or resizing a photo will have this
effect. And most stuff you download off the net does NOT have the exif
preserved, since it's often resized.

Some software, such as Irfanview, will NOT erase the exif data. I am not
sure about Adobe Photoshop, but Adope Photodeluxe DOES erase it, at least
the version I have.

If you have a photo with exif data (say from your own digital camera), you
can safeguard it by downloading the free (well, the author requests that you
send him postcard) software Exifer:

http://www.friedemann-schmidt.com/software/exifer/

This program allows you to back up the exif data before editing a photo and
then re-import it into the edited version, including the exif thumbnail of
the original. Very nice!!!.

Hope this helps.

Here is a small images with EXIF info:

Note that older Image editing programs erases EXIF info in images,
but IrfanView does not.
