IrfanView : missing a key in full screen mode

I can't find the key, in full screen mode, to show a document fitting the
width of my screen.
Manual seems to say there's not such a key.

it's strange this wonderful freeware lacks a so important command key.

I may have misunderstood what you mean, but have a look at View > Display
Options >Fit images to desktop width.
