I am seeing the IPSec Failure audit message in the security event logs. I have opend the IP security Policies on local computer using mmc. There are three items int he list: Client (Respond Only), Secure Server (Requies Security), and Server (Request Security). All of these are saying policy assigned NO. what should be the default policy or settings? What exactly should be the setting in order get rid of these failure audits and say secure

Thanks in advance for the help.

That is the default, all of the policies will be not assigned.
What error are you encountering.
If it is only the one stating that not all network interfaces
info could be obtained so you may not be protected, you
can ignore this since you are not using IPsec anyway. That
particular message is only saying that when the IPsec policy
engine fired up, one or more network interface was not yet
configured in the network stack (wire unplugged, switch off,
etc.)
