Does Device Manager show any problems (yellow !)?

Hi there

Funny enough I've had the same problem on an old IBM T40 of mine.

The solution in my case was that under Network adapters there was an
extra one, by disabling the extra hey presto all back to normal.

Best regards

Tony

First reduce the chances of malicious software, then troubleshoot:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware
detection programs:

Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if desired.
