IpConfig in XP

Now when ever I type and Ipconfig command whether
ut's /release or / renew or just IPCONFIG it always just
says

"windows IP Configuration"
No Ip info at all now. Before you asked for details it
would at least tell me it had a 169. IP. Now it doesn't
even show that.

If you're not getting any information other then The "IP
Configuration", it's not talking to your router, cable/dsl
modem (whatever it is you're trying to connect to). First
thing I would check would be the network cable running
from your computer to the modem, hub, router (whatever)
and see if it's connected properly. Try ping 127.0.0.1
to make sure TCP/IP is working properly.
