Emeric

We have install dns on a multihome computer with ISA install.
When I type this command ipconfig /dns, we have this message :
Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
(C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.

C:\>ipconfig /registerdns

Windows 2000 IP Configuration

Error: The system cannot find the file specified.
: Refreshing DNS names

C:\>
I check with article 272294 but still same problem.
Any idea ?
Thanks

I don't see how article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=272294 relates to
this.

Was TCP/IP removed on this machine or anything else altered, installed, even
the slightest minute thing you can think of?

You didn't mention you shutdown the DHCP Client service. That is tied in
with many APIs including the DNS resolver service. Matter of fact, if you
shut that off, you can't even resolve a name.

No DNS Name Resolution If DHCP Client Service Is Not Running (268674):
