Hi:
I just upgraded from NT4.0 Exch 5.5 to WIN2k SP4 Exch 5.5 SP4. This server
is FSMO and PDC.
I am pretty sure I have some sort of Trojan Virus. I keep loosing net share
IPC$ which causes numerous problems.
AS soon As I type net share IPC$ I get the share back. But I loose it again
some time with in an hour or less. I am also getting evenet ID 12294 with
the following message.
"The SAM database was unable to lockout account of (a small rectangular box
or a period here) due to a resource error such as a hard disk write failure
(the specific error code is in the error data). Accounts are locked after
certain numbers of bad passwords are provided so please consider resetting
the password of the account mentioned above."
I caught remote.exe in system 32 folder. Norton AV Corporate Edition was no
help either. Could some one recommend a different Virus scanner that I can
download a trial version of or any other tool. I thank you for your help.
