When trying to access a network drive or printers share on
a Windows 2000/XP computer from a Windows 95/98/ME
computer, i receive an IPC$ dialog box . If you do, then
how do i configure security on my Windows 2000/XP computer
to fix the problem.

Add a user account to the W2K box with the same logon name/password that the
user on the W98 box uses to logon to Windows networking OR enable the guest
account on the W2K computer but only if all users are totally trusted and
your network is protected from the internet by a firewall. See the link
below for more details. --- Steve
