IP printing

Hi ,

We currently have a Windows 2000 Server performing all the
printers and queue management. However , some users with
laptops have been able to print directly using IP
printing. Is it possible to ensure that only users who
authenticate to the school's domain are able to print?

Here at Kennedy Space Center we lock out the ability to
print directly to the printer by incorporating an Access
Control List on each printer. This list allows only the
print server's IP and certain system engineer's IP to
print directly to the printer. Everyone else has to go
through the print server where each printer can be locked
down using global groups (I remove the "Everyone" group).
Now all your laptop users will have to go through the
server (like everybody else) to print.
