My girlfriend's msn account was used by someone that deleted her messenger contacts and sent insualting emails. The person i think did this (joe) sent her a email ealier that day. his IP adress was 207.241.134.154. The email i got from my girlfriend's account had a IP of 207.241.132.147. Is there anyway i can track these IP adresses and see if they are from the same user? Also do you think this is from Joe or from someone differnt.

You can use the Tracert command or one of the many free utilities available
on the internet.

To use Tracert, go to Start/Run and type tracert 207.241.132.147 and
press ENTER.

Both of these IP addresses you posted are from the same location. Anyone
having access to that computer could have sent the email.

Go to

ARIN: WHOIS Database Search:
http://www.arin.net/whois/

Use 207.241.132.147 as the search term. This will tell you who the owner
of that IP address is. You may not get very far with this since most
Internet Service Providers treat subscriber information as confidential.
However, that ISP may have an "abuse" policy and a place where you may
complain about a specific subscriber.

You also need to be aware that it is possible for people to hide behind a
"spoofed" IP address.
