IP LAN Routing Problem

W2K Server with all the updates and AD: Trying to make it
a network router. So I invoke RRAS, choose Network Router
and finish. The interfaces show up fine and the router
tables look fine. IP routing is enabled. Should be
simple, right? It does not work no matter what I do. I'll
try to lay it out in a way that makes sense:

W2K Server:
NIC 1: 192.168.1.253 NIC 2: 221.21.21.253
Mask 255.255.255.0 Mask 255.255.255.0
Gate 192.168.1.250 No gate

Firewall: = 192.168.1.250 → to 'net
Also has a static route of 221.21.21.0 mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.253

LAN clients are on 192 LAN, DHCP configured as:
192.168.1.x
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.250 Gateway

221 LAN is only a UNIX box (221.21.21.1) and a printer
(.100)

From the 192 clients, I can ping as far as 221.21.21.253
and no further.
For laughs I even added a route to the 221 LAN at the
client - NG

Right now the router is a Linksys cable/DSL router with a
static IP on the WAN side and it works just fine. Why
doesn't W2K??

Anyone have ideas? I'm frustrated as.<&*#

Thanks,
Adam

Check the bindingorder (Network Connections, Advanced, advanced) and make
sure the internal nic is on top.
What exactly is this Firewall at 192.168.1.250?

Good point. Already checked it. To be clear: both LANS
are internal and the W2K server is to be an internal
network router. The firewall is a Sonicwall that is
connected to the internet via DSL

What is the default gateway of the Unix box and printer?

221.21.21.253. All I'm trying to do is remove the Linksys
router and use the Server instead.

Adam,
I was looking at your static route. I have a suggestion try this
.............

Route Add 221.21.21.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.250 (The next hop which is
the address of the router connected to the NIC 1)

Let us know if this works
