IP configuration for IP Router multihomed machine.

I have two servers a & B. A is connected to the internet through b
(ISA SERVER). a is a multihomed machine acting as a IP Router. There
are two networks 192.168.0.x and 90.0.0.x both with subnets
255.255.255.0. The cards in the multihomed machine are both x = 1. I
have configured the routing table from the 90.0.0.x network I can ping
both cards but not router b, and from the 192.168.0.x network I can
ping the 192.168.0.1 but not the 90.0.0.1 card. It doesnt seem to be
routing where I tell it to. I have set up the different configurations
and cannot get this to work. The network binding order is 90.0.0.1
first. Once I can ping the rest of the network is easy. What I want is
the 90.0.0.x to see the internet connection. Is there anything I can
try to get this to work. Any troubleshooting ideas. The config on the
two cards are 90.0.0.1 and the default gateway is the 192.168.0.1 and
the 192.168.0.1 goes to server b 192.168.0.2. Cannot see where I am
going wrong? Driving me mad!

Any help gratefully recieved.

Thanks

John

Hi John,
My first suggestion would be not to use PING as a test. ISA server is a
firewall and does not allow ping to the external inteface & internal
clients should not be attempting to PING or make any type of connection to
the external IP address on the ISA server as that is going be seen as an IP
Spoofing attack from the ISA server.

PING is not a valid test in you scenerio. How bout Web Access via browser.
You may want to take this to the ISA Server news group. In any case, in ISA
make sure that you defined a Protocol Rule, at first I would suggest
allowing all and to everyone. This doesn't allow internal access through
ISA just allows all systems defined in the LAT out for all defined
protocols.

Thank you,
