invisible user ?!

Hi,

I want to create a new user called 'Administrateur' (in french) as I can not
see it in user list in control panel.

A popup tells me it already exists !!!

How could I retrieve this ghost user ???

Please don't tell me I am hacked or virused ! I have both antivirus and
firewall activated...

By the way, I am running XP Home in French.

Windows already has a built in account called Administrator. You cannot
delete this account. It is hidden by default and (in XP Pro) can be
accessed by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL twice on the welcome screen. In XP Home
you cannot log in to this account unless you are in Safe Mode.

To retrieve the account, but in Safe mode or <CTRL><ALT><DEL> 2 times on the
Weclome screen. The Administrator account is always created and hidden from
general use.

It is in existence as a reserve account for emergencies. As if is not
for regular use it is hidden for normal start up. Should you need it
ever, power up and hit F8 as BIOS info goes to black, then take Safe
Mode - Administrator will appear at Welcome, or you can hit CTL-ALT-DEL
twice to bring up a dialog where you can enter it.

Make a separately named user account with Administrator rights for day
to day use
