Invisible Text When Replying or Forwarding Mail

User is running Outlook 2003 SP2 on XP Pro SP 2 on Toshiba Satellite laptop.
Messages are received from a non-Exchange IMAP server. An example of the
body format is:

<p xmlns:dttime="com.vendorname.dps.util.ExsltDatetime"></p>
Display Text #1
<P xmlns:dttime="com.vendorname.dps.util.ExsltDatetime"></P>
<TABLE xmlns:dttime="com.vendorname.dps.util.ExsltDatetime" WIDTH="650"
BORDER="1" CELLSPACING="0">
<TR>
<TD HEIGHT="24" BGCOLOR="#c0c0c0" VALIGN="BOTTOM" WIDTH="19%">
<P><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Arial"><B>Display Text #2</B></FONT></P>

where "vendorname" is the name of the company sending the message. This
results in a line of text ("Display Text #1") followed by a table, the first
cell of which contains "Display Text #2".

However, when the user replies or forwards the message, no text is visible
in the message body, only the original headers. "Select All" shows nothing
below the original headers - no text and no images. After replying or
forwarding, if the new message is opened and inspected from the Outbox, no
text is visible and "Select All" shows nothing below headers. AutoPreview
shows only the original header information in the body of the new message.

When the new message (whether through reply or forward) is sent and the
message is opened and inspected from the Sent Items folder, all text is
visible. The recipients of the forwards or replies also see all of the text
without problem.

So the reply and forward functions are apparently working, but the user
cannot confirm the contents of the message before sending. Is there a
setting/option/patch that I've missed somewhere?

It appears that the problem is "fixed" by unchecking the box for "Use
Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages" but the user would prefer
to continue using Word for e-mail editing.
