Invisible Footnote Marks

Greetings. I copied some material from another source, and the source
contains footnotes which I want to delete. However, strangely the footnotes
do not have any mark whatsoever. When I hover the mouse over the footnote in
the text the little yellow tab appears, but that's it. This is very strange
indeed. How can I delete all these footnotes. Please help.
 
You might check to see if they're Hidden.
