Invalid use of Null (Query vs Form?)

This is driving me nuts!

I'm trying to add a command button to a form using the 'Wizard' but it
displays an "Invalid use of Null" error...

The main form has three subforms, so four tables feed the form.
Where should I start looking to resolve this problem?

Well, I couldn't work it out so I tried the backup db. Everything works fine
with that version even though it should be idential to the working db file...

Weird!
