invalid page fault USER.EXE

Bob

I recently purchased a used USB Compac keyboard for
my non-Compac Win 98 PC.Could this be why I'm getting
this error and could the drivers be the problem?
Iexplore
This Program performed an illegal operation
and will be shutdown.

IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module
USER.EXE at 00le:0000166c.

This happens more than half of the time when I'm
filling in a form for name or address and shuts
down IE6.0. Thanks,Bob

I was going to say in my PS. that I have all the latest
updates for IE6 and Win 98 but my keyboard locked up
and I had to restart my PC to get it to work again.
Maybe I just answered my own question!Should I scrap
the keyboard or does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you, Bob

Cannot launch IE, however, I can launch Outlook Express, which leads me to
think that the problem is only with IE6.
Solved the problem. It was apparently caused by the free popup stopper
supplied by my ISP. Just deleted the popup stopper and everything is up and
running.

Or:
IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
