I have IE6 on my computer but I get a run time error when
I open certain web pages.

The error message states that the error is an Invalid
character in Line 1.

Any ideas how to correct this? (it is becoming very
annoying)

Lee,

It's a problem with the webpage. Ignore it.

Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the Advanced tab, click to select the Disable Script Debugging check box in the Browsing section.
Uncheck Display a notification about every script error setting is displayed instead.
Click OK, and then restart Windows.

If the script error occurs on all pages, refresh your scripting engine: [Links Courtesy of Frank Saunders]
