A Runtime error has occured. Error: Invalid character

I get the follow error message quite often in IE 6.0 when
pulling up some web sites. Can someone tell me how to
fix this?

A Runtime error has occured.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.
