I use Norton Utilities. Every single time it runs Norton WinDoctor, it
finds an InactiveX/COM entry which it fixes.

Does anybody know why this is always there?

It's because Norton Utilities is brain dead. Forget what Norton
WinDoctor says. Run chkdsk.exe from a command prompt instead.

WinDoctor is a registry cleaner (of questionable value). Chkdsk is a hard
disk repair tool. How are they similar, and why would the O/P run chkdsk
when he wants to clean his registry?
