AD had been configured to open a web page from the Start these programs at
startup option in the default domain policy. We no longer require this and
have disabled it. Unfortunately, when the laptops are offline they still try
to load the web page and of course fail. This would seem to be a setting in
the loca registry. Would you know of a way to clean the registry of this
information in a orderly and/or automatic way?

Hi Tim,

I think you can search the registry for the web site URL name. Then, delete
all keys found.

If you have multiple laptops which has the problem, you can write a reg
file to delete these keys.

You may also try to delete the policy. Then, the registry of to launch the
web site will be removed. Please delete the policy when all the laptops are
online.

You also can run the gpedit.msc on the client to modify the local policy to
prevent the client to load the web page at startup.

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

Sincerely,

Steven Liu
