Intranet but not Internet

I have a couple of computers on the same LAN that cannot connect to the
Internet and a couple that can. I just got a new laptop. I have Admin
access. When I connect it to te LAN I cannot access the Internet. What can
I change on IE or Network settings to fix this??? I have XP SP1. Thanks.

Hard to say without knowing how your network is configured to access the
Internet.
