Intillimouse 4.1 can't remove

I tried to uninstall Intellimouse 4.1, using add remove programs, there are
two options; change and remove.

If I use change, it flags this messages:

Win2k INF Uninstall error: "GetPrivateProfilesString() failed" MS_MFG
Section , click Ok.
then another error: Win2k INF Uninstall error: "C:\\Program
Files\\Microsoft Hardware\\Mouse\\ipf ilter.inf" , click Ok
Add Remove Programs "Fatal error during installation"

If I use remove:

"Error 1326. Error getting file security C:\Program Files\GetLastError:5"
Click Ok
Add Remove Programs "Fatal error during installation"

Why I'm uninstalling, because Intellimouse 4.1 became inoperable and I want
upgrade to 4.2 or 5.2, to work with my Intellimouse Explorer

I just did it, but it tries to uninstall 4.1 first with results that I
posted before.

Just a note, version 5.2 was released a week or so ago

Try removing these registry values and then install the new 5.2 drivers.

Click Start-Run-Type regedit and click OK. Expand to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Microsoft Input Devices\WindowsPointer

Delete FastPointer, MouseKey, MouseKeyJump, MouseKeyFeedback, and if
there is nothing left after deleting these other values, delete the
WindowsPointer key too.
