Intervideo WinDVD ver. 3.2.41.128

I am running WindowsXP and cannot play dvd's. When I
launch the DVD, I get an error message that
says "Software DVD Player has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Is
there a fix available.
