Interrogating a filed that acts as a note

How do i interrogate a field with info such as "
PAA App ID :?????? 29 Oct 2005
Req :£50000-99999
Timescale :1-2 weeks
Lead Fee :£??.?? will be deducted from your bank account by direct debit"?

I am trying to get the info after LEAD FEE :£ into a table in excel

One way is to use a regular expression. The rgxExtract() function at
http://www.j.nurick.dial.pipex.com/Code/vbRegex/rgxExtract.htm should do
the job, with a pattern that finds what you're looking for and returns
just the number, e.g.

rgxExtract([TheField], "Lead Fee :£([0-9.]+)\s")
