internet wxplorer 6 sp1

i am having a problem with internet explorer 6 sp1. when i
go to several web sites the page will start to load and
then it will close ie6 down.i have reset all my internet
connections to default, have cookies enabled, turned off
firewall and been to several forums with no help.
www.radioshack.com-www.cartoonnetwork.com are just two of
many that wont work. they will start to load and when the
page gets about half way loaded it just takes me back to
my desktop. i also use mozillia and they work, so i know
it is a setting in ie6. i have all updates from microsoft
downloaded,

I.E. closes, 3 possible reasons.

Java issue?

Tools/internet options/advanced/Microsoft VM
....only tick the JIT compiler box and leave the Java boxes un checked
(default)

Parasite?
IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit is with these
tools.
