Please Help a Dummy

I have managed to get my disaster Netgear 54Mbps USB 2.0 wireless USB
adaptor working at 11Mbps and connected, but I cannot get Internet sharing
working. I have clicked on the Internet sharing and followed the
information on:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/bowman_02april08.mspx
(which does not relate properly to the Windows XP interface)
but still cannot get the Internet sharing to function.

Please on my knees, any tips and advice gratefully received.

T'is tough been a dummy :)
Hopefully in the next life I will be given some basic intelligence.
 
I have been putting together a piece on networking that is not done but you
may get something out of it. You have left out much information so this
