Hi Guys,
Both computers are using XP Pro. One computer connects
to the internet via an ISDN Modem which I would like to

Rhonda,

If you want help here, you need to describe the problem with a bit more detail.

Here are a few websites with useful tutorials on Internet Connection Sharing:
http://www.cablesense.com/

http://www.wown.com/

Please provide ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.

Cheers,
Chuck

Hi

You may need to describe your setup in a bit more detail but you shouldn't
have the XP firewall on the client /unless/ it's SP2 and then you can add
the LAN subnet to your 'exceptions' list in the firewall settings.

I would actually suggest that you get a third-party firewall such as
Zonealarm (or one of your own preference) as the XP firewall provides no
protection againts outbound connection attempts even on SP2.

Hi.
It depends on the Nature of you ISDN connection.
If it is coming as a DialUp (like a regular modem).

If the output of the ISDN Modem is Ethernet.

The pages above was written by me ages ago. You might ignore the prices and
Brand recommendations. The principles however are still the same.
