Huwmun

I've set up internet connection sharing on windowsXP and
enabled the feature of allowing users to control or
disable the shared internet connection.

When i get back to my win2k machine, i try and make a new
network connection where i connect to the internet through
another computer on the network.

theres nothing there. all i want to do is to be able to
see the shared internet connection on my win2k machine,
can anyone help?

Hi,

You should be able to simply configure the network card on the Windows 2000
baox to be a DHCP client and use the shared connection from the XP host.
From a command prompt on the 2000 box type "ipconfig /all" you should see
and IP address in the 192.168.0.x range withthe DNS server and default
gateway pointing to 192.168.0.1.

Thanks,
