Internet problems

My hotmail account will not open and i cannot acces some online sites, such as my online bank account , even the XP reversi game has gone now! i have toyed with the security settings etc but to no avail, this has happened before, a couple of months ago, and i used the system restore wizard to roll back to a previous date, that did the trick then, but now the calendar is stuck on April and will not allow me to roll back, it just stays on the present date, with no available dates to roll back to. Any ideas anyone?

My daughter has the same problem only worse. She cannot
access the internet at all. She cannot role back
either. If you get any ideas on how to fix this, pass it
on to me. thanks
