internet problem

Can someone help me please
when I'm trying to search for something online the
internet explorer stops responding stops responing:
For example, I go to any search web-site (yahoo, google,
etc.)
I type something in the search field and as soon as I
click "search" button it stops responding. If i try to
click on any links it does the samething.

Help me please.

I recently had the same problem. Any time I would do a
search or click a link on a site i'd get the popup window
saying I.E. needs close. I sent the error message and
clicked the more info link. That link said i needed the
updated version of I.E. The most recent version i can
find anywhere is 6.02 which i was using. I went to the
windows update page and d/l every update available for
my system. I have no problems so far with with I.E. Try
that and see if it helps you.
