I can't get on the internet. My networks setting are working. I've
checked everything with my ISP and the connection is fine. I can ping
other sites. I've run AV and Anti-Spy software and all is clear. I
have all the latest XP updates. I'm thinking it's a problem with
Internet Explorer.

Microsoft wants to charge me $30 to check out the problem. Should I
pay it?

Joe you need to provide more information for assistance from the group. For
example: 1. How are you trying to access the internet - dial-up, cable, ICS,
etc. 2. What "other sites" can you ping? 3. The verification by the ISP -
did they verify you are successful in connecting to them or the settings on
your end? 4. Have you run IPCONFIG \ALL - if so what were the results?

Try going to start..run..then type cmd. In the prompt window type "netsh
Winsock reset" without the quotes.
