Internet Pages and Pictures loads very slow

I am running windows XP on an HP 501N, that is only using 25% of it's memory
but the problems that I am having is that the computer's start up is slow and
it takes forever to load internet pages and pictures, can anyone tell me what
I can do to fix this?

What do you mean by slow on startup? One approach is to do some clean

Have you done a thorough scan for malware using a combination of
programs in safe mode?
