'Internet Options' - General Tab missing

Morning all,

I need some assistance with a missing tab. Specifically,
under tools, internet options - the 'general'tab has
disappeared'. No idea but a family member wanted to
change a home page and noticed the tab was gone.

Anyway, short of re-loading IE 6, to get it back?

I have the exact same problem as Chris. I am not sure
where the tab went to, because it was there about 2 days
ago. I have tried updating windows and reinstalling the
explorer, but neither has helped. Any ideas??

Searching on Google using the phrase "General Tab missing in Internet
Explorer Tools" returned 17,400 hits in 0.21 secs

If you have not already done so I would also recommend you download yourself
a
copy of the free
Ad-Aware 6.0 from Lavasoft
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/)
and also SpyBot
(http://security.kolla.de/)

In both cases run their online update before running the program.

If they don't fix it try this:
Restore All Tabs under Internet Options (Line 268)
