Internet Options, Firewall & Windows

Hey Guys, I'm not sure whats happend but I have no access to my internet
options when i go through control panel but do when i go through tools. I
have no access to firewall settings or anything to do with my firewall in any
area. I think that I uninstalled all of my antivirus(1) & spyware(1) when I
installed "Stopzilla". I had shortcuts to games that would come up in a basic
window with no tool bars, which now opens a window "Open With" that has a
list of programes that dont open it either. I have a few annoying japanese
mobile phone ringtone sites that just keep poping-up at any time, and of
course I've been to a few questionable porn-sites but have been in the same
kinda areas before. I defragmented my disc prior to these problems & wonder
if this has something to do with it. It's like i turned the PC on one day and
some little PACMAN has eaten my "Stopzilla" software(which no longer appears
on my taskbar & when attempts to open through my shortcut referes again to my
"Open With" window). This means I can't download any software to fix
anything. Internet explorer,Media player-- works ok. email (outlook express)
& basic windows dont work. And last problem but not least........i know
jacksh#t about this. P.S willing to learn.
Any suggestions??????

Hi

StopZilla is spyware itself - my Firewall won't allow access to that web
site. Try a System Restore back to a point before you installed StopZilla.

Hi

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore - click on Next and
then select a checkpoint before StopZilla was installed. A checkpoint
should have been created before that program was installed.

Hey, When i go into this it goes to the "Open With" window again and wont
open in any of those programes. What do you make of that??

Hi

Try the System Restore via Safe Mode. Reboot your PC and then keep tapping
the F8 key 'til you access a screen with Safe Mode as one of the options.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
