Internet Network browsing slow

Having terrible trouble with slow browsing on the Internet. Like there is a
poor connection between IE and the network software. Is there a definitive
source website for XP to troubleshoot slow internet browsing?

I would like to avoid a clean install as this is a laptop with a recover
disk that wipes everything.

If this is not the right newsgroup can you please point me to the right one.

Many thanks, one of those websites led me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357
which fixed the problem!

Now only one major problem left to get fixed that scum bag George W Bush and Guantanamo Bay.
American citizens have a tremendous amount of work to get respect for their country back.
US is at the top of the list in the world for abusing human rights.
