I have dsl internet. Why is internet exployer so much
slower than netscape? I would like to use internet exployer
But its so slow. I have marked the advanced tabs to not
show pictures, no animations on web pages. even with no
pictures it still takes it forever to load a page. Is
internet exployer just that slow or is there something else
i can do to make it faster?

Delete the History folder and index.dat:

Next, eliminate parasites:

yes try running anti virus, ad-aware, spybot, but good
luck because even that and the link of the other poster
doesnt speed up IE all the time

Why not? Cleaning index.dat helps in most cases. As is spyware scan.
