Can someone tell me how to uninstall Internet Explorer if
it does not appear on my add/remove programs list in
Control Panel?

You cannot uninstall I.E., but you can "mask" it. With SP-1 installed,
there should be a "set program access and defaults" choice in Control
Panel|ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Choose CUSTOM, and then make your wishes known.^
