Internet Explorer won't close

I click the 'x' in the upper right corner, but it just
dings and it WON'T at all. I have to push alt ctrl del to
get rid of it (it dings too when I try that alternative,
but eventually closes). What is happening??
 
sounds like something else don't want ie to close. might
be a bug/trojan, check to see what else is running.
