These two files jokpicka32.exe and jhcebi32.exe tried to
install as I visted a secure website. Now my Internet
Explorer will not open unless I disable my Kerio personal
firewall???

Sounds like malware to me. Start>Find Files and Folders>jokpicka32.exe . The
same for the other one as well. If found, note which directory it is in,
remove them from that directory and place in a separate temporary folder you
will create for holding them for the time being. See if you can access the
internet; Do a spyware scan.

Hi Brad :-)

It is likely you have parasites, spyware, adware, malware, or hijackware on
your system causing the problem, which your antivirus will not detect, as it
does not have the same definitions. You may have to disable the firewall to
download the programs to clean it, then restore it after you have them all
downloaded and updated. I suggest that you create a new folder on the hard
drive call Hold. Download all programs into this folder until they are all
loaded. Then install and immediately update SpyBot and AdAware. Then run
them in the order that are listed below. They are free and very effective.
Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware, as what one does not detect the
other may. It is important that you do all the steps and follow all
directions carefully:

IMPORTANT:
Before trying to remove spyware, download a copy of LSPFIX from
the URL below - some malware may kill your internet connection when it is
removed, this program will enable you to regain your connection.
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

It is important that you run the programs in the order that they are listed
here. The first three programs will clear your machine of all other items so
that you can have a clear HiJackThis Log for the experts to read and analyze
for you.

(NOTE: If you can not download these programs from the Internet, if your PC
has CD read capabilities, go to another computer with CD-ROM burning
capabilities. Create a folder on the hard drive of the other computer called
HOLD, download the programs to that folder, then burn that folder to a CD.
Copy the HOLD folder to your HD and then install the programs from there
and run them. After you have IE access again, update all programs where
possible to get the latest definitions and run them again to be sure there
are no lingering items on the system.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so DO NOT fix

LOL! In case things are slow in my usual hangout (W98.Gen.Discussion),
beyond my abilities, or if they're already attended to, I come over here.
There's always *plenty* of need for a pest exterminator post or three (or
ten). ;-D

W'll...it's a pesky job, but, someone's gotta do it. Besides, somebody has
to hold the fort while we reload our PestBuster Zapp! guns. ;-)

I wonder in an out of all of 'em at some point. <g>

Jan :)

I have seen you around... in fact I think you might have appeared
momentarily in a Clarifying a CWShredder Update thread that had like 125
posts; amongst many other threads. That was a hassle that thread was. It
wasn't my fault, but I don't wan't to be in that kind of "slanderous" thing
again anyway; No good deed goes un-punished. :-|

Well you've surely held the fort and done more than your duty today. Must be
out of "ammo" by now. <s>

I seen a few of those, too. I don't do 'fests', never a very good thing. I
may poke in to test the water, but, if I see a fin, or there's a rip tide
running, I paddle on up stream. I do visit a number of groups and forums.
A lot of good information in all.

Time for a shift change I guess. Need to let my bug zapper cool off. <vbg>

Wise behavior. ;-)) But sometimes that Fin sneaks up on you, and the next
thing you know, you're the "lunch". <G>

Yeah, it's "break time" for me too, I think I smell dinner burning! (yuck!)

Chow (I mean ciao. hehe) ;-D
